Presentation

EUTOPIA is a challenge-led, student-centred, place-based, inclusive alliance of entrepreneurial, change focused universities that has been successful in its bid for a €5m grant from the Erasmus+ ‘European Universities’ programme. The awarded project will employ a long-term vision (whose horizon is 2050), a mid-term project and ambition (2025), and a short-term piloting plan (three years) to realise its ambitions.

The EUTOPIA alliance universities are the following: Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Göteborgs Universitet, CY Cergy Paris Université, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, The University of Warwick i Univerza v Ljubljani.

It is important to recall that EU has no competence for higher education, therefore this “European University” pilot project is an important tool to surpass the regulatory differences in the European educational framework. Accordingly, it is a unique opportunity to enhance the attractiveness of European Higher Education and to prove the full plurality, potentiality and international pre-eminence of European innovation and influence in learning and education.
